About the Strategy
In July 2019, Surrey County Council declared a climate change emergency and made a commitment that the County would be net zero carbon by 2050. A focused programme of engagement and co-development has since been undertaken with partners, residents and experts to create the resulting Surrey Climate Change Strategy, which will enable collaborative action on climate change. It is now time to turn this strategy into action.
This site is an opportunity for you, the residents of Surrey, to continue to provide input on suggested programmes and projects. The site will be a place for sharing best practice and advice on measures that can be taken in our daily lives to reduce our carbon footprints, from the way we travel, to the way we heat our homes.
